JERUSALEM OF THE NORTH is a non-profit public organization established in August of 2011 in Vilnius by private companies and entrepreneurs, both of Jewish and Lithuanian origins, for the purpose of reviving, sharing and preserving the cultural heritage of Lithuanian Jews.

 

Our mission is to bring back Lithuania to Litvaks and Litvaks to Lithuania. Our aim is to unite reliable sources of information about the Litvaks' heritage in one place and with the help of modern technologies to encourage Litvaks from all over the world to communicate  - among themselves and with Lithuania. At the "Jerusalem of the North" we want to make sure that the heritage of Litvaks is looked after for the future.
